Keep multiple web pages open at the same time with tabs. There's no reason to lose your place when web browsing just because you found an interesting link. Instead of tapping on a link, hold it and you will have access to a menu. In this options menu, you can choose to look at your desired link inside a different tab, so that your current and new pages are both up at the same time.
Would you like to use the iPad to open PDF files? You need to send the PDF files to your email address so your iPad displays the open in iBooks function. If you're near a computer, you're able to easily sync PDFs with the iPad by accessing the book tab in the iTunes app.
