A great resource for any question regarding your iPad is an online forum. There are many sites devoted to this popular device that can expedite the learning process and guide you to becoming an iPad whiz. Become a member on one of these forums and ask any questions that you may have. Battery life is typically shorter when using heavier applications like movies and games. A simple way to get more play time out of each charge of the battery is to use a low screen brightness setting. There is no reason to have the screen at full brightness in any situation. Battery life can be extended with some key changes. Avoid very hot places like cars. Keep the brightness as low as is comfortable. Turn on the airplane mode if you have no need for the Internet. It also helps to turn Push off. You can manually check your calendars and email if you need to.

You have other options besides the on-screen keyboard. The small keyboard on an iPad can be difficult to type on. Hooking up a Bluetooth keyboard to your iPad is super easy. This lets you type as you would on any keyboard. There is an easier way to locate your bookmarks. Leave it open all the time! This can be done under Safari settings. By doing this, you can take away all of the clicking you'd have to do to get where you wanted to be online. It is easy to get to all the apps that are currently running on your iPad. Just hit the Home button twice and a list will show up on the screen. Just click the app you wish to switch to, if you so desire. When you're done, swipe the screen downwards to hide the bar.

Manage your notifications. When you have many apps, you will be annoyed by all the notifications. To manage all of these alerts, just go to Notifications, which is located in Settings. Doing so lets you remove the less useful notifications from your home screen. That helps you when you want to get alerted from something important. There are a few easy tricks to keeping your iPad battery life high. Do not leave it in hot areas, like your car. Keep the brightness down. If you're not using the Internet, use airplane mode. Deactivating Push is useful as well. Instead, manually check email and other apps. iPads come with apps many don't ever use. Many of these apps cannot be deleted. If you find that there are several built-in apps that you aren't using, create a folder to contain them. This helps keep them out of your way.

Did you know that you don't have to use your iPad's keyboard? Many people find the iPad's on screen keyboard difficult to use. Instead, give a Bluetooth keyboard a try. These keyboards will make it feel like you are using a laptop keyboard. When the iPad freezes up, do a soft reboot. Hold both the home and power buttons to get your device to reload. This will make the device restart. If all you need is for an application to close, then hold down the home button. Keep it held for a second or two. Want to put in the Google Calender on the iPad calendar app? Simply navigate to Mail, Contacts, and calendars. Switch to Add An Account and then tap the Other button. Use the Add CalDAV icon to input your information for Google. You can then exit the settings and access the calender through the app. You should all be there.

The iPad's iOS supports folders now. To start, hold your finger over and app until it jiggles. Then drag the jiggling app onto another icon and let go. Doing this will create a new folder, and inside you will be able to access either app, and it will automatically be named by category. You can rename the folder, if you like. FaceTime is great for getting email and keeping contacts. By default, FaceTime on your iPad will include the email that you set the iPad up with, but you can add more. If you have more than one email or number, the settings section is where you want to go. Navigating through the days of the calendar function cannot be done by swiping. Instead, you need to utilize the iPad's navigation bar, which is situated near the bottom of your screen. Today's date will be colored blue and easily recognizable.
