It is a pain when you get an email and your iPad chimes every time. Did you know you can turn off this annoying feature? To do so, go to Settings and General. Then select Sounds. Now you can disable the mail sounds or fix the level.
Double-click the Home button to access all apps that are currently running. That will give you a bar that includes all the running apps, and you can access them by pressing on the icon in the bar. This lets you keep an eye on what's running on your iPad and close unneeded apps to free up RAM.

If you need to mute your iPad's sound in a pinch, use this handy technique. Just press and hold the "volume down" key for two seconds. This is a lot quicker than going through the settings. Make sure you hold it again when you want the volume turned back down.
To copy and paste quickly on your iPad, tap the text and hold it down while choosing Select. Once the text is selected, tap "copy", and switch to the app you wish to paste to and hold down a tap again. Again, a menu will come up, this time tap "paste." For an entire paragraph, you need to press four times.
