So all of you hard-core movie fans out there know what every Tuesday is, right?  It is new DVD release day.  I look forward to this day every week and I always have my Netflix set up ahead of time to make sure I get the newest flicks that are out there.  Here’s a short list of what is coming out today:

Weekend Box Office Results for 3/21/10

Third time’s a charm for Alice in Wonderland.  The Tim Burton-directed flick has now topped the box office for three weekends in a row.

Three new films hit the theater this weekend, with two of them bringing in over $20 million each.  Last week’s new entries continued their downward spiral with the majority having steep drops of over 50% from last weekend’s figures.

Box Office Mojo‘s Top 10 Box Office Estimates for 3/19-3-21:

1. Alice in Wonderland – $34.5 million
2. Diary of a Wimpy Kid – $21.8 million
3. The Bounty Hunter – $21 million
4. Repo Men – $6.1 million
5. She’s Out of My League – $6 million
6. Green Zone – $5.9 million
7. Shutter Island – $4.7 million
8. Avatar – $4 million
9. Our Family Wedding – $3.8 million
10. Remember Me – $3.3 million

Eclipse Trailer Premiere!

Twilight fans can breathe a bit easier now.  Summit Entertainment has finally released a trailer for this June’s highly anticipated Twilight Saga: Eclipse.  A couple of days ago a mini, and I do mean mini, trailer came out that lasted all of 11 seconds.

Eclipse’s trailer shows us the new Victoria, played by Bryce Dallas Howard.  It also plays up the love triangle between Bella, Edward and Jacob.   But as any fan of the books knows, there’s not much of a triangle.

This trailer is just the first of many to come out, I’m guessing, as Summit gets ready to launch another massive publicity tour in a couple of months for this film.

Kristen Stewart dons a wig in this installment, as she had cut her hair for her role in The Runaways right before shooting on Eclipse began.  I wasn’t the biggest fan of New Moon, so I’m hoping for more Robert Pattinson and just a little less Taylor Lautner.  A girl can dream, right?
